ISLAMABAD Aug. 26 (TNS): The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has issued final show-cause notices to 55 officers in grade 16 and above who failed to submit their educational credentials for verification notwithstanding frequent reminders.
These 55 officers had been using delaying tactics to hand over their educational credentials to the degree verification cell. Through the notices, the officers were directed to show cause in writing within 14 days as why a plenty, including dismissal from service, may not be imposed on them.
The civic body had initiated the process to verify the degrees of its 17,000 employees after reports that some of the staff members had submitted fake educational certificates. Later, the process slowed down till last year and the incumbent CDA administration expedited it and issued reminders to all the employees.
