LWMC all set to dispose biodegradable on EID

Lahore: 27 Aug (TNS); Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has set itself ready to meet the challenges of huge task to dispose biodegradable on the eve of Eid ul Azha.

The institution is expecting tougher challenge as compared to last year in this regard but shows confidence that  it wd be met

Last year LWMC had disposed nearly 30,000 tons of animal waste in three days of Eid and this year the tonnage is expected to rise.

According to the plan to meet the challenge of sanitization on the eve, Pujab Govt has announced that one in each sanitation camp will be established in all the 274 union councils of metropolitan city. Beside the establishment of 116 temporary stations to collect the biodegradable and transfer it.

Two million biodegradable bags will also be distributed to households to make the collection easy and minimize the habit of throwing the waste on roads.
