PESHAWAR, 28 Aug (TNS): Two personnel of Pak Army were martyred and three others injured when a jeep they were travelling in met with an IED planted on the roadside in South Waziristan’s Barmal area on Sunday.
According to reports, the forces were patrolling the area during a search operation when it struck the landmine, security officials said.
Two personnel, identified as Sepoy Imran and Sepoy Atta have embraced martyrdom on the spot while three others were critically injured. The injured have been moved to Field Hospital, Wana.
Following the incident forces have launched a combing operation in the area to nab the perpetrators.
