ISLAMABAD August 31 (TNS): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan says the Chinese have exposed Multan Metro Bus fraud by directly implicating Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The PTI chief in a statement on micro-blogging website Twitter urged National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to probe all metro bud and orange line train projects which he alleged that were clearly not undertaken for well-being of the masses but for massive kickbacks.

Khan’s tweets come after CM Punjab’s presser in Lahore earlier today in which he denied receiving kickbacks from two companies.

“Like the Panama Papers exposed NS [Nawaz Sharif] and [the] family’s corruption, the Chinese have exposed Multan Metro fraud directly implicating Shahbaz Sharif,” Khan said.

Earlier Shehbaz Sharif had denied allegations of receiving kickbacks worth Rs3 billion in Multan metro project.

Calling for provision of evidences against allegations on him in a presser, the chief minister said bogus allegations were being levelled against the provincial government by design.

“Multan metro project is being subjected to an unwarranted criticism,” he asserted, adding that false claims were being with regard to offering contracts to two companies after receiving kickbacks.

“One of those two companies does not exist,” he added.
