PIA’s Post-Hajj flight operation begins tomorrow (Wednesday)

ISLAMABAD, Sep 5 (TNS): Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will begin its post-Hajj flight operation from tomorrow (Wednesday).

The national flag carrier along with other private carriers will bring back Pakistani pilgrims from Saudi Arabia from Wednesday.

The process will start with arrival of nine flights bringing 945 pilgrims to Pakistan on Wednesday. The repatriation process will complete on 5th of the next month.

The PIA had operated 230 Special pre-Haj and scheduled flights to carry around 57,000 intending pilgrims from seven major cities of the country in 32 days.

The PIA had carried 17,615 intending pilgrims from Karachi, 10,882 from Islamabad, 10,610 from Lahore, 7,601 from Peshawar, 5,956 from Multan, 3,923 from Sialkot and 445 from Faisalabad to Madinah and Jeddah.

The PIA’s Special task force has been deputed at Jeddah Haj terminal and Madinah Airport for smooth journey of returning Hujjaj back home.
