Islamabad, Sept 5 (TNS): The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday denied media reports which suggested that references against Sharif family are being filed this week.

Spokesman of anti-graft body told TNS that DG NAB Lahore has not sent any recommendations.

The spokesman also request media to avoid airing such baseless speculations.

“Therefore, no decision has been made by Chairman NAB. It’s totally speculation”, the NAB spokesman told TNS.

Earlier, media reported that NAB is likely to file references against disqualified Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his children, son-in-law and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar this week.

Reports also added that, the chairman of the national anti-graft watchdog will preside over a meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) at its headquarters in Islamabad to give go-ahead to filing of references against the Sharif family.
