Dera Bugti Sept 6 (TNS): A ceremony to mark the Defense Day was held at the Headquarters of Frontier Constabulary here.
During the ceremony which formally began with recitation of verses from Holy Quran Commandant Bambore Rifles Colonel Ahmad Qureshi laid floral wreath on Martyrs Memorial and paid tribute to the ultimate sacrifices paid by them in defense of the homeland.
Addressing the ceremony Colonel Ahmad Qureshi said that the nation is indebted to the martyrs who laid down their lives to foil all cunning attempts of the enemy.
An exhibition of armaments, weapons, and defense accessories used by the FC to foil the heinous designs of the terrorists was also held for the first time in Dera Bugti’s history.
The environment of the ceremony became gloomy when the family members of those martyred fighting the terrorists addressed the ceremony.
