Rehman Malik lauds statement of army chief

Islamabad, Sept 06 (TNS): Former Interior minister Rehman Malik on Wednesday lauded statement of army Chief Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Talking to TNS, PPP senator said that September 6 reminds us great victory over our enemy who attacked the motherland in the darkness of night. Malik appreciated army chief bold statement in which he asked the world to do more against terrorism. Ex-minister said that the world powers should not blame Pakistan for their failures in Afghanistan.

Malik said in war against terrorism Pakistan has rendered sacrifices more than any other country of the world which should now do more to defeat this menace. Earlier, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa also called for the world to do more for combating terrorism.
“If Pakistan hasn’t done enough in war against terror, then no country in the world has done so,” the army chief said while addressing a ceremony held to mark the National Defence Day at the General Headquarters (GHQ) on Wednesday.

Pakistan has done enough now it was time for the world to do more,” COAS added.
The army chief said Pakistani security forces have paid with their blood the cost of wars from Operation Sher-e-Dil till Radd-ul-Fasaad.
