ISLAMABAD Sept 8 (TNS): Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has announced that he will put an end to load shedding in November, later this year.

He said that electricity supply on Wednesday was 20,000 MW while its demand was 1779 MW.

Ali said that load shedding will continue at places where power theft takes place.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz lawmaker criticized the former government of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) didn’t pay heed to the issue of loadshedding in their era.

“Khurshid Shah’s statement about cheap electricity is funny to say the least,” he maintained.
