KARACHI Sept 10 (TNS): Patron-in-chief of Pakistan Hindu Council and Member of National Assembly Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani has urged the higher authorities for taking timely action against extremist elements who are widely distributing hate pamphlets in Tharparkar.

Exchanging views with another Hindu MNA Lal Chand Malhi from UmarKot, he said that teachings of all religions urge the followers to respect each other.

He was of the view that the FIA (Federal Investigation Agency) is the right forum to consult against misuse of social media. Both MPs categorically denied link of any Hindu community member behind the mysterious Facebook account

Dr Ramesh regretted that on the basis of anonymous social media account extremist elements are trying to create unrest in the peaceful society of Hindu-majority Mithi and UmarKot areas.

The transcript written in Sindhi language of hate pamphlets being distributed on a larger scale contains the name of cleric Pir Ayub Jan Sarhindi who is allegedly behind most of the cases related to forced conversions of minor underage Hindu girls.

Dr Ramesh, while assuring his cooperation to Lal Chand Malhi, asked the higher authorities to take immediate action before the extremist elements succeed to exploit the religious sentiments of innocent people. Demanding for fair inquiry, he said that blaming Hindu parliamentarian Lal Chand Malhi for mysterious Social Account is a tactic by his opponents for political scoring under the cover of religion. He also mentioned various incidents of past in which patriotic Hindu business community was targeted in a similar way.
