Bank ATMs disbursing fake currency notes

Islamabad, Sept. 14 (TNS): The masses facing problems as bank ATMs disbursing fake currency notes.

With several incidents of ATMs disbursing fake currency notes across the country, safety and security of ATMs in the country are under serious doubts.

The similar incident occurred with Munir Ahemd Qamar, a resident of Islamabad, who received a fake note worth Rs. 1000 from Meezan Bank ATM.

According to details, Munir on September 7 withdrew Rs. 30,000 from ATM of Meezan Bank located at F-11 Markaz and found one note worth Rs. 1000 as fake.

A complaint has been lodged at Shalimar Police station, SSP has marked the application and forwarded to DSP Legal who referred the case to Federal Investigation Agency.

Director Circle FIA and Deputy Director Banking are investigating into the matter.

Many other people also complained similar grievances as there is a mafia involved in business of fake currency notes while higher authorities and watchdogs doing nothing to curb this deceitfulness.

Masses demanded State Bank of Pakistan and anti-graft bodies to take action against the mafia and banks involved in circulating fake currency notes.
