Taking opposition parties into confidence for appointment of new NAB chairman: Shah

ISLAMABAD, Sep 14 (TNS): Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Khursheed Shah has said that he contacted the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to consult for the selection of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman.

Speaking to journalists, Khurshid Shah said that the current NAB chairman is controversial from the day one.

He said a meeting with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was held in which issue of NAB chairman’s appointment was discussed. He however said he had not complained to PM on any matter.

Shah continued that the past of new chief should be cleaned from politics and that no one would find any reason to malign him.
