LAHORE, Sept 16 (TNS): Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday congratulated Pakistan XI for winning the third T20 match and Independence Cup against the World XI.
In his message of felicitation, the Chief Minister has said that the players of Pakistan XI have won the Independence Cup by playing marvelously and they have accorded the opportunity of happiness to the people.
Due to the aggressive bating of Ahmed Shehzad, Pakistan has made the winning score. Pakistani players have outclassed the World XI in fielding and bowling, as well. He said that the victory in Independence Cup is the conquest of moderate and tolerant Pakistan and added that irrespective of win or defeat, the peaceful Pakistan has won today.
It is the message to the enemies of peace that the nation will never allow their negative designs to succeed. The tremendous interest of the people in the event is the proof that Pakistanis are a peaceful nation.
He further said that the holding of event in a peaceful and congenial environment has paved the way for international cricket in Pakistan.
