NAB chairman pays farewell visit to Balochistan Regional Bureau

QUETTA, Sept 18 (TNS): Chairman National Accountability Bureau Qamar Zaman Chaudhry on Monday paid farewell visit to NAB Balochistan Regional Bureau.

Qamar Zaman Chaudhry to be retired on October 10 this year. The chairman was warmly by Director General NAB Balochistan Irfan Naeem Mangi.

Qamar Zaman Chaudhary, on occasion, said that corruption is a kind of silent killer which destroys whole society and affect a country like cancer.

He said that the nation is proud of NAB officers who are paying their national duty according to professionalism, transparency and law.

He said that 50 billion have been collected by NAB’s current administration from the corrupt elements and deposited in the National Treasury.

“In 2017, NAB had received double complaints against the contest in recent years which shows that all the sectors of the NAB are working harder and are paying attention as their national duty”, he added.

He said that the NAB has collected 288 billion rupees in the national treasury till now, which shows that all the officers and sectors of the NAB are working on merit through professional and transparency.

The NAB Chairman said that NAB Balochistan is the trend setter region. He appreciated NAB Balochistan for continuous maintaining its standard in all the aspects of Accountability and Administration.

He said that corruption is the mother of all evils. NAB is committed to eradicate corruption by adopting Zero Tolerance Policy as corruption creates hurdles in development and deprives people from their due right.

He said that NAB is Pakistan’s apex anti-corruption organization which has chalked out a proactive Anti-Corruption Strategy to elimination corruption through a holistic approach of awareness, prevention and enforcement and to arrest corrupt and recovered looted money from them and deposit in the national exchequer.
