ISLAMABAD Sept 28 (TNS): Deposed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is likely to leave for London today (Thursday) to see his ailing wife.

According to informed sources, the former premier has planned to leave for London today to see his ailing wife Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, whose condition had deteriorated yesterday.

“Sharif had also made a call to London to inquire about her health and he would return to Pakistan by October 2 to face trial in the accountability court,” sources further said.

On the other hand, Maryam Nawaz took to twitter and appealed the nation to pray for the health of her mother.

“Ami was taken and admitted to the hospital again late last night. Drs [doctors] are trying to stabilise her condition. Request for prayers. Allahu Shafi,” Ms Maryam tweeted on Wednesday.

The triumphant candidate in the NA-120 by-election and wife of ex-PM Sharif, Begum Kulsoom, was recently diagnosed with early-stage lymphoma and has been in London since, along with her children.

She was discharged from the hospital last week after her third surgery.

Following the third surgery and her release from hospital on September 22, Maryam tweeted: “Just brought Ami home. She is Alhamdolillah recovering well after her 3rd surgery. Jazak’Allah for your valuable prayers.”
