Pakistani sniper kills Indian soldier near LoC: claimed Indian army

Srinagar, Oct 3 (TNS): An Indian army soldier was killed in a single sniper attack fired by Pakistani troops in Balakote sector of Poonch district in Jammu region, Indian officials claimed here on Tuesday.

Naik Mehandra of 7/11 GR regiment was critically injured when Pakistani troops fired at a forward post in Balakote sector along the Line of Control.

The trooper, who was hit on the head, was immediately evacuated to nearby MI room where doctors declared him brought dead.

Pakistan army has claimed to destroyed several Indian posts along LoC after civilian casualties unprovoked firing by Indian troops who are frequently violating cease fire.
