Pakistan Railways adopts modern ways to avoid accidents

Islamabad, Oct 4 (TNS): Pakistan Railways has indigenously devised IT solution for avoiding and controlling train accidents.

This was stated at a meeting chaired by Chairperson Ministry of Railways Parveen Agha in Islamabad on Wednesday.

She was briefed on Train Approaching Warning System at Level Crossings and Train Collision Avoiding System.

The warning system will consist of sensors on both sides of level crossing at a distance of almost three kilometers.

Train Collision avoiding system will avoid the risk of collision of trains due to human error and equipment failure.

Radars will also be used in trains so that they can identify each other.
