ISLAMABAD Oct 5 (TNS): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has directed to devise a comprehensive plan to ensure food security and address issues faced by the agriculture sector.
Talking to delegation comprising representatives of the agriculture sector in Islamabad, he appreciated the role of agriculture sector towards employment, economic growth and ensuring food security in the country.
He said that government and private sector needed to join hands for formulation of a robust policy for overcoming the existing challenges and promoting the agriculture sector.
The Prime Minister also directed to constitute a committee to review issues pertaining to input prices, taxes and electricity over-billing.
