Islamabad, Oct 5 (TNS): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi approved promotions of 30 officers of different service groups to grade-22.
The PM, however, ignored promotions of Rao Tehseen and two other officers to grade-22 despite the fact that the court had ordered for his promotion.

In the meeting held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi decision of promotions were made to promote 30 officers of various departments to grade-22.
The officers promoted to grade-22 are included Maroof Afzal, Mian Mushtaq, Shoaib Mir, Jahanzeb Khan, Jalal Sikandar Sultan, Shaista Sohail, Rizwan Memon, Qadir Hussain Bukhari, Umar Hamid, Parvez Jinajo, Hashim Popalzai, Asghar Chaudhary, Bashir Memon, Khaliq Dar Lakh, Arif Nawaz, Amjad and Karamat Hussain.
The Establishment Division has ignored the promotion of the 3 officers of information group including Rao Tehsin for being named in Dawn Leak scandal.
However, Justice Amir Farooq of Islamabad High Court clearly ordered the government not to interfere in the promotion of Rao Tahsin and said it should be made on merit.
