PESHAWAR Oct 6 (TNS): The number of dengue patients in Khyber Pakhtwankhwa province has crossed 12,000.
According to official statistics 12,215 patients across the province have been confirmed with dengue.
Forty-four people have died from dengue fever 41 of whom died in Peshawar while the remaining three lost their lives to the fever in Abbottabad.
According to provincial Health Department over 400 dengue patients are still undergoing medical treatment at government hospitals across the KPK province while 10,431 dengue patients were released from these hospitals after getting recovered.
It may be mentioned here that just yesterday another 390 dengue cases were reported across the KPK province. According to Dengue Response Unit of these 390 dengue patients 100 were shifted to nearby hospitals in Peshawar.
