MUZAFFARABD Oct 6 (TNS): Chairman NDMA Lieutanent General Omar Mahmood Hayat has said that NDMA is ready to provide every possible support and facilitation to State Disaster Management Authority Muzaffarabd AJ& K.
He stated this during his visit to SDMA Muzaffarabd recently.
Director General SDMA Zaheer Uddin Qurashi briefed the Chairman NDMA about the role and functioning of SDMA.
He briefed the Chairman NDMA on the ongoing projects and challenges faced by SDMA.
Chairman NDMA assured SDMA all possible support for its capacity building and resolving issues being faced SDMA at the earliest.
The Chairman NDMA expressed his concern on the growing unprovoked Indian forces firing on LoC and its humanitarian impact. He directed SDMA to analyze and suggest measures for protection of civilian population living along LoC.
Chairman NDMA also visited State Emergency Control Room and observed the facilities and arrangements there. He also inspected the Rescue 1122 Emergency Drill.
