ISLAMABAD Oct 6 (TNS): President Mamnoon Hussain on Friday said educational institutions play crucial role in human resource and overall economic development of the country.
He was talking to the Chancellor of Riphah International University Hasan Muhammad Khan and Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmad in Islamabad.
The President said women constitute about half of the population and emphasis should be laid on both their secondary and higher education.
He appreciated the establishment of Women Institute of Science and Humanities at Riphah International University.
The President expressed satisfaction over the standard of higher education improved during the last few years in the country.
