Foreign funded elements are targeting soft targets in the country: Ahsan Iqbal

ISLAMABAD Oct 6 (TNS): The Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Friday said foreign funded elements are targeting soft targets in the country to create an environment of fear and panic amongst people.

Speaking in the National Assembly on Friday, he strongly denounced the terror attack.

The minister said that a compensation package will be announced for the heirs of those killed in shrine suicide attack at Jhal Magsi in Balochistan.

He said Pakistan is committed to fighting against terrorism and Jhal Magsi like cowardly incidents cannot shake our resolve.

Ahsan Iqbal urged religious scholars to come forward to address the issue of hate speech and promotion of sectarian harmony.

Earlier, the House offered Fateha for those killed in Thursday’s terror attack at Jhal Magsi.
