Amid serial knife-attacks, KU bans hamlet in campus

KARACHI, Oct 6 (TNS): As serial knife attacks continued in the metropolis, the University of Karachi (KU) has prohibited wearing of helmet by bikers within campus premises.

The serial attacker in Karachi has stabbed 15 women in as many days, as police remain clueless regarding identity and motive of the lone assailant.

Police announced a reward of 0.5 million rupees for information that could help them nab a serial attacker who has created fright and panic in the city.

The attacks began late last month when a man on a motorcycle began sporadically wounding women walking on streets.

They escalated late Wednesday when the attacker targeted five women in different parts of the neighbourhood, bringing the total number of women assaulted to 11 and alarming authorities.

His attacks were also caught on CCTV footages.
