ISLAMABAD Oct 7 (TNS): Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reform Ahsan Iqbal, who is also holding the portfolio of Interior Division, has asked provinces to finalize their incentives plan for Special Economic Zones, in addition to the incentives already announced by the federal government.
The minister was chairing a meeting in Islamabad to review progress on Special Economic Zones.

Ahsan Iqbal directed all stakeholders to fast track the development of Special Economic Zones, complete land acquisition process and feasibilities.
He said that there was a need to transform these economic zones into an attractive destination for foreign investment.
It is to be mentioned here that under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, several Economic Zones would be established along the the route of CPEC in different areas of the country.
