Iran speaker calls for boosting ties with Pakistan

Tehran, Oct 12 (TNS): Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani called for the elevation of all-out ties with Pakistan.

Ali Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with speaker of Pakistan’s Balochistan Assembly Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani.

Referring to historical ties between Tehran and Islamabad, he stressed broadening of economic ties and establishment of border markets.

Durrani, for his part, stressed improvement of mutual cooperation between the two countries. She called for facilitation of visa issuance between Iran and Pakistan and launch of Quetta – Zahedan and Quetta – Mashad direct flights.

‘Pakistan army is trying to protect border security,’ the official said, stressing cooperation between the two states in the field.

She invited Larijani to pay visit to Pakistan’s Balochistan.
