Petition filed in IHC to stop Nawaz Sharif’s indictment

ISLAMABAD, Oct 26 (TNS): Member of National Assembly (MNA) Captain (r) Safdar on Thursday appealed to Islamabad High Court (IHC) to stop accountability court from the indictment of ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif in corruption references.

The MNA has requested the court to halt the proceeding for some time as Nawaz Sharif is unable to attend the hearings due to the undergoing lymphoma treatment of his wife Kulsoom Nawaz in London.

Meanwhile, Talking to a private TV channel, Nawaz Sharif’s son Hassan said that there is no plan of his father to return to Pakistan tomorrow (Friday) whereas Maryam Nawaz will be traveling to Islamabad from Lahore to appear in the court.
