RAWALPINDI, Oct 13 (TNS): British Chief of Staff General Nicholas Patrick Carter has arrived in Pakistan on two-day visit.
According to ISPR Gen Carter called on Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa. During the meeting matters pertaining to bilateral defense and strengthening the security-related relations between Pakistan and Britain were discussed.
General Carter lauded the achievements made by Pakistan in its war against terrorism. He also appreciated the sacrifices rendered by Pak Army in its war against terrorism.
The armed forces of Pakistan are playing a crucial role for peace and security in the region, Gen Carter added.
The British General paid a visit to Martyrs Memorial at the General Headquarters here and laid floral wreath on it.
