Lahore, Oct. 13 (TNS): After vast criticisms over controversial remarks, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah clarified his stance on Ahmedis.

The Punjab minister, while talking to a private channel, stirred up a hornet’s nest by calling Ahmadis Muslims.

Sanaullah’s statement that “Ahmadis (also) act upon ‘Namaz’ (prayer) and ‘Roza’ (fast); they go to mosques and recite Azan” incited countrywide protests.

Speaking to journalists, the minister stated that whosoever denies the Finality of Prophethood of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is outside the boundary of Islam.

“Belief in the Finality of Prophethood is an integral part of our faith,” he said.

In a presser, the Punjab law minister said that country’s constitution guaranteed the rights to all minorities.
