Army Chief’s visit was an honour for the FPCCI
ISLAMABAD Oct 14 (TNS): The United Business Group (UBG) of FPCCI says the business community will vote for the UBG in the upcoming election while the opponents will lose the elections for the fourth time.
Over eighty per cent of the business community supports the UBG because of their services and interest in the resolution of the issues of the community by SM Muneer and Iftikhar Ali Malik, said Mirza Abdul Rehman, a central leader of the UBG.
Mirza Abdul Rehman who has also served as VP FPCCI said that Chief of the Army Staff Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa recently spoke to the representatives and members of the Apex chamber which is an honour as this hasn’t happened since the country got independence.
He said that Patron-in-Chief of the UBG SMN Muneer, Chairman Iftikhar Ali Malik and President FPCCI Zubair Tufail met with the Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and informed him about the problems of the business community.
The business leaders demanded the abolition of the withholding tax, bringing an end to the raids on the taxpayers, and payment of the refunds to the exporters as non-payment has compromised their ability.
The leaders of the UBG also demanded to reverse the recent increase in the prices of electricity and fuel which was a blow to the businesses reeling under multiple problems.
Mirza Abdul Rehman said that UBG is ready to fully cooperate with the government provided we are allowed to work with peace of mind and our genuine demands are fulfilled.
