London, Oct. 16 (TNS): Malala Yousafzai, a Nobel laureate, known for polarising people over sensitive issues such as girl education and women’s rights, is breaking the Internet for a completely different reason.
This time she heads and instigated a debate with her attire. Malala was clicked wearing jeans, which divided the social media users. While many welcomed the change and said that she looked like any other “normal girl”, on the other hand, many considered it shameful for a Pakistani girl.
Malala, who is attending Oxford University to study, politics, Philosophy and Economics, can be seen wearing a pair of jeans with a brown jacket and her headscarf in a picture released on the Facebook page of Siasat.pk.
Although, the authenticity of the picture doing rounds has not been verified by either Malala herself or the website that posted it.
While some embraced the changed look of the 20-year-old, some resorted to calling her names and shaming her on social media.
