LAHORE, Oct 17 (TNS): The nation has recognized by now those politicians who made world record of “U-Turn” and indulged in politics of lie and baseless allegations,” Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said here on Tuesday.
He said the politics of lies and baseless allegations neither succeeded in the past nor would succeed in future. He added that masses recognize those doing politics of hypocrisy.
Talking to Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) from various districts of the province who called on the chief minister here, Shahbaz Sharif said that if the sit-in groups have some sense the power projects launched by the government would have seen completion by now.
He said that the people who tried to create hurdles in the way of progress and prosperity of the country have created discord in politics.
Punjab chief minister said that nation has recognized well those who are serving the people and those opposing the development of the country.
Shahbaz Sharif advised the sit-in and lockdown groups who always faced defeat to change their negative attitude, adding that change in the country cannot be brought through hollow slogans and speeches as it comes through taking practical steps.
Punjab chief minister said that now the public could not be deceived by hollow slogans. The people would again elect the PML-N in the next general elections over its transparent and honest performance, he added.
On the direction of Chief Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique, visited INMOL Hospital, Lahore reviewed the progress of work regarding installation & commissioning of Linear Accelerator along with construction of Bunker for Linear Accelerator.
The Minister directed to ensure earliest service delivery to the needy patients. It was decided that civil work will be completed by third week of December, 2017 and the Machine will be made fully operational by the first week of January, 2018.
The contractor M/s Varitron had quoted Rs. 380 million for this suite. After detailed scrutiny of financial proposal, the contractor agreed to deliver the Machine at the cost of Rs. 220 million. In addition to that, government of Punjab has also paid Rs. 28 million for construction of bunker & provision of one 500 KVA Generator. Total cost for linear accelerator got reduced from Rs. 380 million to Rs. 248 million.
Spokesman of Agriculture Department Punjab said that under Khadam-e- Punjab Kissan package, Government will provide subsidy on DAP fertilizer to 52 lakh farmers in punjab.
This subsidy will be provided in the form of vouchers which will be sealed in bag of DAP fertilizer. Farmers/stakeholders will type voucher number along with their CNIC number and send it to 8070 through sms. A verification message will be sent to them and subsequently the farmer will get subsidy of Rs.150 per voucher through mobile cash agents.
A farmer can get subsidy vouchers upto 20 bags of DAP fertilizer. This subsidy is being provided to all registered farmers of kissan package. Unregistered farmers can contact Agriculture Helpline toll free numbers 0800-15000 & 0800-29000 to register themselves and get benefited on this subsidy scheme.
Spokesman of Agriculture Department further disclosed that through this subsidy scheme, cost of production of farmers will be reduced . DAP fertilizer usage will also be increased which ultimately paves a way to increase per acre yield of crops.
