KARACHI Oct 17 (TNS): Chief Secretary Sindh Rizwan Memon has emphasized upon timely completion of all concerned tasks to ensure the appropriate service delivery system, throughout the Sindh Province.
He expressed these views, while presiding a high level meeting, which specifically reviewed the efforts of all the departments and institutions for providing the safe drinking water to all spheres of life including to the patients and students, through hospitals and academies i.e. schools and college.
The Chief Secretary asked the Secretaries of concerned departments and heads of KW&SB and other institutes to submit their reports for efforts made in this regards with the specific reference of Sindh Water Commission, the reports to be submitted by 19th instant , per Director Legal, positively, he added.
Secretary Schools Iqbal Durrani, Secretary Health Dr. Fazlullah Pechuho and others briefed the update actions, while Secretary Environment Baqaullah Unnar apprised that 02 water testing laboratories are functioning in Karachi and Hyderabad as well, monitoring system has also been strengthened. Secretary Irrigation Jamal Mustafa Syed also briefed about RBOD and LBOD.
Asstt. Advocate general Sindh Sarwar Khan, Secretary Local Government Ramzan Channa and Secretary Industries Raheem Bux Soomro also reported progress.
