Pakistani engineer kidnapped from Afghanistan

Kabul, Oct 17 (TNS): Afghan captors have abducted a Pakistani engineer working on a Pakistan-funded highway project in war-torn country.

The abducted engineer has been engaged with multimillion dollar Jalalabad-Torkham highway project.

According to family sources of kidnapped engineer, the captors have demanded a ransom of $1 million for his release.

The kidnappers have given the family just four days to pay the ransom money. They also sent a video clip to the family in which Faiz was seen being tortured.

The family has demanded Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa to assist in securing Faiz’s release.
