Rawalpindi, Oct 17 (TNS): No drone strike has taken place in Kurram Agency, as is being misreported by few, stated a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations on Tuesday.

According to ISPR statement, military operations are under way in Afghanistan’s Khost and Paktia provinces — borders Kurram Agency in Pakistan’s Federally Administered Tribal Areas — by Resolute Support Mission.

“There has been no air violation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in that area,” ISPR said.

A number of air engagements have taken place during the last 24 hours inside Afghanistan, with heavy losses to terrorists, the press release stated.

It added the RSM is sharing details about the operation within the Afghan territory and Pakistan Army is vigilant in its own area along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

After Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Afghanistan, coordination between forces of both the countries has enhanced.

“A better security management will take both countries towards enduring peace and stability, defeating the common enemy”, it added.
