Lahore, Oct 20 (TNS): Zeenat Shahzadi, the journalist who was abducted from Lahore in 2015, has been recovered by security forces, officials said on Friday.

Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal, who is heading the Commission for Missing Persons, confirmed Shehzadi’s recovery.

The Lahore-based reporter was recovered from Pak-Afghan border on Wednesday night, Javed Iqbal said, adding that some non-state actors and hostile intelligence agencies were involved in her disappearance.

The retired judge said tribal elders of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had assisted in the journalist’s recovery.
