Quetta, Oct 20 (TNS): Deadly mines in Balochistan claimed anther life, officials say on Friday. According to offcials, a coal mine was collapsed in Balochistan’s Harnai District.
One miner was rescued in an injured condition while six others still remain trapped inside collapsed mined.
Chief Inspector Mines Iftikhar Ahmed said a landslide occurred at two spots at the Sharig Coal Mine in Harnai.
Two miners were trapped inside as a result, after which six of their colleagues went in to rescue them but got trapped themselves.
Ahmed added that a rescue operation is under way to recover the six miners still trapped inside the mine.
Last month, according to media reports, three coal miners were killed after poisonous gas accumulated inside a coal mine in Harnai.
