Pakistan wants to improve ties with Turkey: PM Abbasi

Istanbul, Oct 20 (TNS): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said Pakistan wants to further strengthen relations with Turkey in diverse fields.

Addressing a joint news conference along with his Turkish counterpart Binali Yildirim in Istanbul on Friday, he said both the countries have exemplary friendly ties.

The prime minister lauded Turkey’s contribution for the socio-economic development of Pakistan .

Binali Yildirim said that his country wants to further promote bilateral relations with Pakistan in all fields including economy.

He said Pakistan and Turkey have always supported each other in the hour of need.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said Pakistan and Turkey are victims of terrorism. He said both countries have rendered unmatched sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.

He said Pakistan will not allow its soil to be used to harm Turkey’s interests.

He said foes of Turkey are our foes and friends of Istanbul are friends of Islamabad.
