Punjab Food Authority seizes huge quantity of gutka in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, Oct 24 (TNS): The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) seized huge quantity of ‘gutka’ here on Tuesday.

Director Operations PFA, Bilawal Abro said that the PFA team along with police raided Bajaur Plaza in Gunj Mandi locality of Rawalpindi. During operation, over 500,000 packets of gutka were recovered from a godown.

The Director Operations said that the recovered gutka was smuggled from other province and was supplied to other cities from Rawalpindi.

Bilawal Abro said that operation against ‘gutka’ will continue and under ‘Gutka Free Punjab Mission” over 50, 00,000 packets gutka has been recovered and disposed of.
