HYDERABAD OCT 25 (TNS): A sector-in-charge of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) was killed when unidentified armed men opened fire at him on Wednesday.

Police said the firing incident took place on Hali Road when Dr Naushad, a veterinary doctor, was returning home after dropping off his children at school.

Unidentified assailants sprayed the MQM leader with bullets near his house on Hali Road as he got off his car, a police officer said.

After being informed about the incident, he said, the police reached the crime scene and shifted the body to Liaquat University Hospital, Hyderabad for medico-legal formalities.

Quoting eye witnesses, the police said, the assailants riding a motorbike opened fire at the MQM leader and sped away, adding that they are investigating the motive behind the killing.
