ISLAMABAD Nov 04 (TNS): Minister for Power division Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari has said that Diamer Basha Dam will play a vital role in boosting the national economy by providing 6.4 million acre feet storage of water and generating 4,500MW cheaper hydropower.
Presiding over a meeting in Islamabad, he said the completion of the project will particularly benefit people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan in a longer run.
The Minster said issues relating to Diamer Basha Dam will be resolved soon to complete the project at the earliest.
