Islamabad, Nov. 7 (TNS): Leveling allegation of m irregularities and systematic rigging, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) challenged on Tuesday the results of by-election in NA-120 constituency with the Election Commission of Pakistan.
On September 17, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Kulsoom Nawaz won the contest, bagging 59,413 votes against PTI’s Dr Yasmin Rashid who secured 46,145 votes.
The seat was vacated following Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification under the top court’s Panama Papers verdict in July this year.
PTI has alleged massive irregularities and discrepancies in the polls, requesting the election authorities to look into, what it called, systematic manipulation of results.
