Banned organizations not allowed functioning by changing names: Senate told

Islamabad, Nov. 8 (TNS): The Senate was informed on Wednesday that banned organizations are not allowed to function by changing names.

Responding to a question during Question Hour, Minister of State for Interior, Talal Chaudhry said that the government is pursuing a zero tolerance against terrorism.

He said there is no discrimination of good or bad and there is no favorite in fighting terrorism. He said that no militia or armed group is acceptable in Pakistan.

The Minister of State said that intelligence agencies are mandated to keep regular watch on the activities of proscribed organizations.

To another question, Talal Chaudhry said that the NADRA official involved in issuance of fake CNIC to Taliban Chief Mullah Akhtar Masnoor was identified as Faisal-ud-Din and has been removed from service and a case has also been registered against him.

Answering a question, he said that ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif is not given any protocol and the security is provided to him as permissible.

Replying to another question, the minister of state said that no protest demonstration will be allowed in the Red Zone of Islamabad.
