Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Saudi Arabia: says President

Islamabad, Nov. 13 (TNS): President Mamnoon Hussain on Monday said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Saudi Arabia and both the countries have always stood by each other in testing times.

Talking to Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Saeed al Maliki in Islamabad, the President said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are tied in strong bonds of faith, history and culture.

Mamnoon said that both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are cooperating in various fields of life, which should be further strengthened.

Meanwhile, Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Saeed al Maliki called on Naval Chief Amdiral Zafar Mehmood Abbasi in Islamabad on Monday.

The Naval Chief highlighted Pakistan’s determination and performance against the war on terror.

He also shed light on the role of Pakistan Navy in Coalition Maritime Campaign Plan and its operations to eradicate piracy in the sea.

The Saudi Ambassador lauded Pakistan Navy’s role and resolve in ensuring maritime security of the region.
