Islamabad, Nov. 13 (TNS): The Council of Common Interests (CCI) decided on Monday that delimitation process will be carried out on the basis of provisional result of Census 2017.
This was stated by Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Media Affairs Dr Musadik Malik while talking to journalist in Islamabad on Monday evening.
He said that the constitutional amendment is imperative for delimitation process and a bill will be tabled before the national assembly for this purpose.
Earlier, the 33rd session of the Council of Common Interests concluded in Islamabad on Monday evening.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi chaired the meeting.
Chief Ministers of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan participated in the meeting.
