Sacrifices of security forces in the war on terror will not go in vain, says PM Abbasi

ISLAMABAD Nov 14 (TNS): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi reached Quetta today on a daylong visit and met the provincial government’s representatives.

The premier met Governor Muhammad Achakzai and Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri as well as lawmakers from the province.

He will be briefed on development projects and security situation in the province.

Schools on the city’s Zarghoon Road have been closed due to the VIP movement in the area.

Later, chairing a meeting on the province’s law and order situation, Abbasi said the sacrifices of the security forces in the war on terror will not go in vain.

The meeting was attended by senior civil and military officials, including Southern Command Commander Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa.

The premier further said that the centre is ready to assist the province in any way it requires in the fight against terrorism.

Zehri said the law and order situation has improved in the province, adding that the back of the terrorists has been broken.
