Pakistan wants to eliminate terrorism with collaboration of UN: says Dastagir

Vancouver, Nov. 15 (TNS): Minister for Defence Khurram Dastgir Khan had a meeting with UN Under Secretary General for Field Services Atul Khare in Canadian city of Vancouver, state media reported on Wednesday.

Talking to UN official, the Minister said Pakistan wants to root out the menace of terrorism with closer collaboration of the United Nations.

He said Pakistani armed forces and law enforcing agencies have gained expertise in counter-terrorism and the country is ready to share its experience with the UN.

Khurram Dastgir said Pakistani forces have achieved remarkable successes in their anti-terrorism operations.

The UN Under Secretary General lauded Pakistan’s role and contribution to UN peace-keeping efforts.
