Islamabad, Nov. 16 (TNS): In light of Islamabad High Court orders, the capital administration on Thursday warned organisers of the Tehreek-i-Labaik Ya Rasool Allah to immediately call off their protest/sit-in.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) advised religious parties protesting in the capital against a reversed change in the Khatm-i-Nabuwwat oath in the Elections Act 2017 to end their sit-in.

According to capital administration officials, the notice was issued from the office of the district magistrate Islamabad to Khadim Hussain Rizvi and Pir Afzal Qadri, who are leading the protest.

In the notice, the capital administration has informed protesters that according to the IHC orders, sit-in is unlawful and is in contempt of court.

The notice reminds the protesters that common man, public employees and hundreds and thousands people of twin cities are being suffered due to their illegal dharna.

Legal proceedings and action may be taken against the organisers, leaders and activists.
