ECP to start special campaign in 79 districts next month for enlistment of women voters

ISLAMABAD Nov 19 (TNS): Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has convened a meeting of all provincial Chief Secretaries on the issue of delimitation of constituencies.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the planning committee of the commission in Islamabad, with Secretary Election Commission Babar Yaqoob in the chair.

The meeting decided to start a special campaign in seventy nine districts across the country for enlistment of women as voters, next month.

Entry of all the female voters in the electoral rolls will be ensured. The registration of cards of female voters in collaboration with NADRA and the civil society will be ensured.

The data feeding process of computerized voters’ lists will be completed by next month which will ease in entering new voters in district election commissioner offices.
