RAWALPINDI Nov 20 (TNS): UC-31 Muhallah Hukumdad Rawalpindi is an important union council of the constituency of national Assembly NA-56 and provincial assembly PP-13.
TNS visited the area and found that the biggest problem of this union council consisting of busy trade centers is encroachments, and the elected municipal representatives seem helpless in this regard.
After the municipal elections, the change is evident in the area, new filtration plants have been installed, construction and repair work is underway, the continuous supply of Sui gas was a big problem in the area which has been resolved now.
Most of the public are of the view that there is no doubt many developmental projects have been started in Rawalpindi, but the small scale problems including absence of the availability of schools and dispensaries need to be resolved for which powers should be given to the elected representatives.
Chairman Union council says that schools and dispensaries are very important for which we are continuously struggling.
The public of Rawalpindi consider CM shahbaz Sharif as revolutionary leader and mega projects launched by him are considered the important projects in the history of Rawalpindi. However, ground realities suggest that further improvements are possible if the municipal leaders are given full powers.
